Integrative Nutrition Health Coach specializing in Gut Health
I'm Midwest-born, but San Diego has been home since 2003. What started as a post-college adventure turned into a life chapter of creativity, ambition, motherhood, and a career in outdoor and lifestyle brands.
And then my health started changing.
At first, it was easy enough to brush off. I was tired. My digestion was off. I had stomach pain, gut issues, skin irritation, constipation, and less and less energy.
So I did what a lot of women do. I started trying to fix it.
I changed what I ate. I researched. I tried different approaches. I paid close attention to what seemed to trigger symptoms.
And food became a REALLY big part of the conversation.
The healthier I tried to eat, the more confusing things became. Foods that were supposed to be "good for me" didn't always make me feel good. Something could feel fine one day and bother me another.
I had plenty of information.
What I didn't have was a clear way to understand how all of it fit together.
That search eventually led me to the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I studied integrative nutrition through a whole-body lens and continued specializing in gut health.
And that's where I started looking beyond what I was eating.
Digestion. Stress. Sleep. Hormones. Inflammation. Motility. Lifestyle. The nervous system. My health history.
Food was still part of the picture. It just wasn't the entire picture.
The more I learned, the more my own experience started to make sense. And later, as I began working with women dealing with many of the same frustrations, I kept seeing how important it was to look at those pieces together.
That's become a huge part of how I work today.
I work with women who are tired of trying to figure out their gut on their own.
They've changed their diet. They've researched symptoms. They've tried supplements. Tried protocols. Many have already worked with other practitioners.
And they're still bloated. Still constipated. Still reacting to foods. Still wondering what they're missing.
I don't want to give them another list of things to try.
I want to understand their story, connect the dots, and help them see what may actually need their attention.
Because your symptoms give us information.
Food gives us information.
Your digestion, sleep, stress, hormones, health history, and everyday life give us information too.
My work is about putting those pieces together so we can get a clearer picture of where to begin.
